Pinnacle Bantam

The Pinnacle Bantam is a smaller car designed with the NHRA Trainee/Youth category for the 5-7 year old in mind.

It can also be set up to run in the older classes with the appropriate engine/clutch changes. The limiting factor will be the size of the driver.

The chassis is 125” wheelbase, 16” wide at the shoulders & mild steel with black powdercoat standard.

In order to accommodate the younger/smaller driver we have redesigned the following areas:

  • The height, width, wheelbase & rear track width
  • Smaller body to give the driver a better view of the track
  • Full wrap windshield shaped for easier entry & exit
  • Adjustable 4 position upright seat
  • Adjustable pedals designed for smaller feet
  • Adjustable steering shaft
  • Wider rear stance for greater stability

The engine mounting system is a standard motorplate/jackshaft assembly that can be fitted with any engine/clutch combination.

The engine that comes with the turnkey package is the prescribed Briggs LO 206 set up with the appropriate carburetor slides.

It has also been fitted with the MT Emergency Shutoff, MT Header & Brace Assembly, MT Breather Assembly & Air Filter.

The basic Bantam package comes with a centrifical go-kart style clutch. This clutch setup is inexpensive, simple, reliable and very consistent.

It works well for the 5 yr old "20.00" & 6-7 yr old “13.90” classes and can easily be replace by a torque converter style clutch when moving up to the 8-9 yr old "11.90" class.




The one piece mild steel chassis has been designed and tested to reduce high stress in order to maintain safety and strength.






The Pinnacle Bantam features a center pull chain drive for reliability, a single 10" brake rotor mounted to the side and a wider stance for greater stability with the younger driver.





The front clip features a 4 bar design, MT Steel Offset Spindles, rack and pinion steering and MT Rotary Forged Aluminum front wheels, all designed to help your car go straight down the track.
